Web Power-Ups is a small, independent site about the tools behind a WordPress website: hosting, plugins and platforms. Our goal is simple – help you pick the right foundation for your site without wading through hype.
Who we are
The site is run by Reklen Ltd., a web company based in Hungary. Since 2015 we have been building and operating WordPress, WooCommerce and e-learning sites for clients. Today we run around 50 client sites on a managed WordPress platform that we operate ourselves – servers, updates, backups, security and support included.
That day-to-day work is where our advice comes from: what actually breaks, what slows a site down, which plugins cause trouble at update time, and which costs are worth paying.
How we write our guides
- Practical first. We focus on decisions you actually have to make, not feature lists copied from sales pages.
- Honest about trade-offs. Premium tools are not right for everyone. We say who a product fits – and who it doesn’t.
- Clear about our own experience. When we haven’t used a product ourselves for a long period, we say so and base our guidance on our general hosting and WordPress experience and on publicly available information.
