2. What we collect and why
a) Server logs. When you visit the site, our hosting server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We use this to keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after [30] days.
b) Contact by email. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep the correspondence for up to 2 years.
c) Email subscription (optional). If you sign up to receive an offer or our emails, we process your email address (and your name, if you provide it) to send those emails. We use double opt-in: you’ll receive a confirmation email first. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email; we then delete your data or keep only what’s needed to respect your opt-out. Our email service provider: [EMAIL SERVICE PROVIDER].
d) Analytics and advertising cookies. With your consent, we use:
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how visitors use the site;
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) to measure the results of our Facebook and Instagram ads and to show relevant ads.
These tools only run after you accept them in our cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Some of these providers may transfer data to the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
e) Essential cookies. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to remember your cookie choices). These don’t require consent.
3. Affiliate links
Some links on our site are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave our site, and the provider (for example WP Engine, via its affiliate platform Everflow) may set cookies to record that you came from us. This happens on the provider’s website and is governed by their privacy policy. We do not receive your personal data from these providers – only anonymous information that a referral or purchase took place.
4. Who we share data with
We don’t sell your data. We only share it with the service providers listed above (hosting, email, analytics, advertising), who process it on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own terms, and with authorities when the law requires it.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting earlier processing). To exercise these rights, email us at hello@webpowerups.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian supervisory authority: Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), Falk Miksa utca 9–11., 1055 Budapest, Hungary · naih.hu – or with the data protection authority in your own country.
6. Changes
